Here at QuickandBig.com we are delighted to offer for sale the modern classic, very low mileage, high spec, Ford Focus RS 2.3T Ecoboost (Mark 3).

The market for Fast Fords continues to climb. Values of all earlier RS models continue to appreciate (some to stratospheric levels) as those of us who remember Blue Ovals of our youth, get the chance to relive (some of) our youth later in life. The value of earlier Focus RS models and the Mark 3’s are already on the up, if our low mileage high spec example is cherished it has the potential to appreciate too. A fabulous drivers car and potential investment too.

It has come to us, from its second enthusiast owner, he acquired it from us a couple of years ago, and since upgraded. Both enthusiast owners have comprehensively maintained and used it sparingly.

The Mark 3, Focus RS was only available through selected RS Dealers and in limited numbers launching in January 2016. It was the first RS Ford to deploy 4 wheel drive, since the iconic Escort RS Cosworth.

It was an instant success, only 4000 examples were allocated by Ford for the UK, they were all snapped up in 6 months, customers then waited for around a year for production at the Ford factory in Saarlouis, Germany to catch up with demand. In 2017/18 a further 850 limited edition models were released to the UK. The values of these limited edition models have gone ballistic already, with low mileage examples now commanding up to £100k!

The market and the motoring press absolutely love them, a quick “Google” reveals:

Auto Express – “Great to drive and comes at a great value price that puts in among some of the most exciting and affordable cars on the road of any type.”

Evo Magazine – “Incredible pace while being fun and adjustable.”

Car Magazine – With clever four-wheel drive, 345bhp, and even more torque, the Focus RS is ferociously fast. Its party piece is the old hot hatch favorite turned up to 11.”

Top Gear – “Fast, frantic, affordable: the Focus RS is what we call a game-changer.”

Pistonheads – “For the money, for the entertainment, value and all round ability though, yes, it’s the real deal. If you want one you’ll be needing to get in there quickly.”

The Turbo charged 2.3l EcoBoost engine delivers colossal performance, all wrapped around a five door, five seat hatchback. 345bhp / 441Nm (up to 375bhp / 510Nm on over boost, with the Ford approved / dealer fitted Mountune FPM375 upgrade, ours also has the Mountune Short Shift kit). The performance stats are equally impressive 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds and onto 165mph.

GM17 DFA was supplied by Haynes of Maidstone (RS Dealer) to County Ford of Herne Bay, and was first registered on 27/6/17.

It is presented in almost unmarked, optional Metallic Magnetic Grey, a rare “understated” colour, only about 10% where Magnetic Grey, with over 60% being Nitrous Blue, it has covered only 9,112 miles. It’s half leather interior, with Recaro front seats again is almost as new, the back seats don’t look like they have ever been sat in.

Our Focus RS was specified with many optional extras, including:

-      Forged 19 inch black alloys

-      Blue Brembo brake calipers

-      Electric tilt / slide sunroof

-      Luxury Pack - power fold mirrors, rear parking sensors, keyless entry / go and exit, cruise control and privacy glass

-      Satellite Navigation - SYNC2 infotainment system, rear view camera and upgraded Sony speakers / boot floor mounted sub-woofer.

-      Winter Pack – heated front seats and steering wheel.

Standard equipment on the RS was exciting to say the least: 6 speed manual transmission, AWD (allowing up to 70% of the power to be delivered to the rear wheels), 4 selectable driving modes (Normal, Sport, Track and Drift) which adjust AWD system / dampers / steering / engine response / electronic stability control / exhaust note, electronic launch control, torque vectoring all-wheel drive, start / stop system, half leather charcoal interior, heated windscreen, adaptive HID headlamps, headlamp washers, auto lights and wipers, the list goes on!

Its enthusiast owner has maintained it regardless of cost, in the original service book (with receipts to back it up) are 6 inspections:

6/17 – PDI – Haynes Ford, Maidstone

7/18 – 2,995 miles – County Garage (Ford Main Dealer), Herne Bay. Included fitting of Mountune FPM375 upgrade. At the same time the crucial Ford cylinder head recall was completed.

8/20 – 5,179 miles - Hendy (Ford Main Dealer), Tunbridge Wells.

9/22 – 6,262 miles - GDA Cars (performance car specialist), Tunbridge Wells.

Its MOT history its completely advisory free, its current test does not expire until 24/12/24. All its old MOT certificates accompany the car.

Its optional forged 19 inch black alloys are unmarked and clad in 235/50/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres.

Our rare RS comes with full book packs including the RS supplement, Ford Performance wallet, locking wheel nut key, tyre inflator kit (with original and new sealant), original mats (plus rubber front overmats), a folder of receipts / documents and 2 working remote fobs. It also comes with its original air box etc, that were replaced as part of the Mountune FPM375 upgrade.

It will have an independent 90+ point pre delivery inspection, for the new owners benefit. It is of course HPI clear and a full HPI report will be available to potential purchasers.

Our Focus RS, really does tick all the QuickandBig.com boxes being: rare, very quick, perfect for the road and track, comprehensively maintained, huge spec, potential to appreciating in value and is very cool.

Please visit the photographs and our terms and conditions again as they form part of the description, and use the “contact us” tab at the top of the page, to arrange a viewing / test drive by appointment. Any inspection is of course welcome. Part exchange particularly if its quick, big or unusual is a pleasure.
