Here at QuickandBig.com we are thrilled to be able to offer for sale, the legendary modern classic, our stunning Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 GSR. Find another beautifully original, Issel Blue example, British Isles registered from new, with only a genuine 7,234 miles on the clock.
The “Evo 6” is widely considered to be the high water mark of the road going, Japanese Rally Legends that dominated the WRC championship back in the 90’s and noughties. Evo’s having dominated the World Rally Championship (WRC) between 1996 and 1999, with four title wins on the bounce for Tommi Makinen.
The Evo 6 was the last of the pure homologation Evo’s – road cars built in specific quantities to qualify for use in motorsport’s Group A and N categories – and the last based on the smaller, lighter, second-generation Lancer body shell.
Evo’s of all generations (1993, Evo 1’s to the last of the line 2016, Evo 10’s) are a tuners / track day / rally drivers dream, as such a great many have been modified, rallied, stripped / caged and tracked. Some have lived very hard lives! Thank fully, not our stunning example here.
All Evo’s are appreciating in value. The best, low mileage, original, cherished examples like ours, values are climbing fast, as those of us who wanted one when they were new, can now own one of our motoring icons.
At “Quick and Big” we specialise in finding rare and desirable cars, the type we all wanted in our youth. There are many online buyers guides for the appreciating Evo 6, a quick “google” reveals:
Piston Heads: “For many, the Evo VI remains the iconic pinnacle of Mitsubishi Evo design for its style, aggression and usability.”
Fast Car: “The Mitsubishi Evo VI was the first official UK Evo and are still the most sought-after versions.”
Evo: “Prices of Evo VI’s are definitely on the rise and you’ll have to dig deep for a perfect low mileage example.”
V496ENF has only covered an incredible 7,234 miles, that’s an average of less than 300 miles a year, all backed up by comprehensive service and MOT history. When new it was imported by Warrender and first registered in the Isle of Man on 17/09/99 (reg, MAN 1982). Its now over 25 years “young” and as such can be exported to the US.
As part of its preparation upon arrival in the UK it was undersealed, and has been subsequently protected with clear Dinitrol. The underside is in beautiful condition, and is a credit to its enthusiast owners.
Our super rare Evo, then made the short journey across the Irish Sea, and was registered in the UK on the 29/11/2000 as V496ENF. It has had only had two previous keepers.
Our stunning Evo makes no apology for being kept as a “garage queen” having been dry stored from new, and only used sparingly for the odd fine weather outing or trip to the MOT testing station. Indeed it’s only covered about 1200 miles in the last 20 years!
Its last owner has had it in professional storage since acquiring it 4 years ago, where it has been warmed and exercised indoors monthly.
Our Evo 6’s Issel Metallic Blue body work is simply stunning, presents with a deep shine, no scratches / swirl marks / dents / dinks etc. The interior is even better, the front Recaro’s are beautiful, and the rear seat looks like its never been sat on. The engine bay for a 25+ year old car is stunning, and as original as any enthusiast would want to see. The underside, helped by its infrequent dry use, diligent storage and a number of applications of under seal is also remarkable. It really is an Evo for the enthusiast and collector.
Our Evo’s is accompanied by its original service book and a comprehensive file of invoices, showing its PDI, plus 6 services, including 2 cam belt changes, most at main dealers / brand specialists. Its most recent service / cam belt change was carried out at 7,124 miles, its completed just over 100 miles since.
The Evo 6 GSR, as a GSR top spec car, has many of the features expected of a modern performance car, including: climate control (nice and cold), cruise control, 4 x electric windows, remote central locking, sports Recaro seats, OZ alloy wheels, multiple air bags and of course the features that have made this a legendary rally hero – permanent 4 wheel drive and active yaw control.
In the extensive history file, (it’s a petrol heads idea of bedtime reading), is every tax disc from 20001 – 2014. Our stunning Mitsubishi’s MOT history is a lovely as you might hope to see, very MOT certificate from new (with not a single advisory) are in the file, which back up its super low mileage. We will of course put a fresh MOT on the Evo for its lucky new owner. Also in the file are a number of maintenance and service receipts.
The Evo’s OZ Racing alloys are beautifully presented and come shod with barley used 225/45/17, Toyo Proxes tyres.
Our mega rare GSR comes with its original owners manual, service book, jack, tools, unused space saver spare wheel, pair of “Warrender” branded number plates and 2 working remote fobs, 2 keys and an imobiliser key.
The Evo has a Pioneer head unit, with steering column mounted controls and boot mounted 10 disc CD player, its also fitted with a Tracker (book pack present, subscription / update may be required).
The Evo 6, will also receive and 90+ point independent pre delivery inspection. It is of course clear of any HPI insurance or finance markers. A copy of the PDI and full HPI report will be available to potential purchasers.
Many thanks for wading through our lengthy description, we believe it’s better to describe our cars fully. It is not in our interest to waste your time or ours, with inaccurate or incomplete descriptions. It does of course have the odd age related imperfection (but that would be splitting hairs), for its age it really is simply stunning.
Our Mitsubishi Evo 6 GSR, really does tick all the QuickandBig.com boxes, super low mileage, a real time warp, comprehensively maintained, mega rare, super cool and rapidly appreciating in value.
